23Na(p,g)24Mg

Evaluation of the nuclear reaction rate based on measurements of the resonance strengths at Ep = 140 and 251keV, which are the main contributors to the reaction rate at 50 ≲ T ≲ 110MK, performed at the Laboratory for Underground Nuclear Astrophysics (LUNA). Two complementary detection approaches were used: high efficiency with a 4π BGO detector for the 140 keV resonance, and high resolution with a HPGe detector for the 251 keV resonance.

Thermonuclear reaction rate obtained using a method based on Monte Carlo techniques. Low rate, median rate and high rate correspond to the 0.16, 0.50 and 0.84 quantiles, respectively, of the cumulative reaction rate distribution.
