Utilizing the high-resolution capabilities of the TUNL SPS, astrophysically important excited states in 24Mg were populated via the (3He, d) transfer reaction. Astrophysically relevant states in 24Mg between 11 < Ex < 12 MeV were studied using high-resolution magnetic spectroscopy. In particular, careful calibration and compilation of previous results give a significantly lower resonance energy for the 133 keV resonance. These experimental data were then used to calculate the reaction rate.
